Dr. Michael Sawaf, D.M.D., is a distinguished orthodontist known for his dedication to precision orthodontic care and commitment to enhancing his patients’ smiles. Dr. Sawaf earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University, where he remains an active member of the Boston University Dental Alumni Association.
Following his dental education, Dr. Sawaf served as a Naval Officer and later transitioned to become Assistant Director of the General Practice Residency Program at The Naval Medical Center San Diego from 2001 to 2004. He then pursued further specialization in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, completing his residency at Jacksonville University. There, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Orthodontics (C.A.G.S.).
Dr. Sawaf’s commitment to excellence is further exemplified by his board certification through The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), achieved in 2007, with subsequent recertifications in 2012 and 2020. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Sawaf finds joy in various hobbies, including golf, soccer, exercising, running, attending concerts, and traveling. He is also a former soccer player and actively coaches YMCA youth leagues.
